Jason and I met seventeen years ago on a blind date. We saw each other every day after that for the next six months. Then, on a Sunday evening, he asked the question and put a ring on my finger. We were married the following Friday – just the two of us with a minister and a photographer in a bed & breakfast up in the Smoky Mountains of Tennessee. It was our kind of perfect. Two years later, God blessed us with our first daughter, Isabella. Three years after that, we had our last daughter, Anna. I worked a few years more before quitting my job to be a stay-at-home mom and housewife. After being home for five years, I began to consider whether I should go back to work part-time or full-time. My husband had another idea. He was happy with my being at home and thought I should begin homeschooling. It proved to be a wonderful decision! That was a couple of years before we listed and sold our house. Now we are living in a travel trailer and roadschooling along with our two boxer dogs. Join us on our journey as we step out in faith on a new adventure!
A builder at heart, Jason began in construction before moving into computers. Our very own IT guy, he is a born trouble shooter, whether it’s a computer issue or mechanical. If something doesn’t work, he’ll do his best to fix it.
I am a child of God. I am a helper to my husband and a teacher to my children. I try to keep things positive and be content in all situations. I am our writer.
Isabella has had a teacher’s heart since her earliest years. She’s a huge help to us all, especially at keeping things organized. Determined and capable, she is like her father, always ready to learn new things.
Anna is an animal lover with a special place in her heart for dogs. She is our joy… our comedic relief. She keeps us laughing with jokes, riddles, and her very own unique personality.
We had three boxers before Bo, but he was our first rescue. When we initially went to just meet him, he chose us immediately. He checked each of us out and then jumped into our vehicle and didn’t budge. He had found his forever home and never looked back. We all love him dearly.
Luke entered our lives in December 2018 as a puppy. Although he’s grown taller since then, we still call him Little Luke. He’s a work in progress. He challenges us every day. We’re not always up for the challenge – we’re still learning too.
